Chemical Peels

What Are Professional Chemical Peels?
The Gold Standard in Skin Resurfacing Tailored to Your Skin

A professional chemical peel is one of the most effective and clinically proven treatments for transforming the quality, clarity and radiance of your skin. At Faceit by Ian in Walton-on-Thames, Ian uses only medical-grade, professional skincare formulations — including BioRePeel, the Amiko CMCA Peel and Ekseption professional skin resurfacing products to deliver results that over-the-counter skincare simply cannot replicate.

Unlike at-home peel products, professional chemical peels use precisely calibrated acid concentrations at an optimal clinical pH, allowing them to exfoliate the skin at a deeper level while simultaneously stimulating collagen production, elastin renewal and cellular regeneration. The result is visibly smoother, brighter, more even-toned skin with significantly improved texture and a radiance that builds with every session.

Whether you’re looking for a professional chemical peel in Surrey to address persistent pigmentation, ongoing breakouts, early fine lines, or simply want that genuinely luminous, polished glow that no amount of high-street skincare can deliver Ian’s clinic in Walton-on-Thames offers the right peel for your skin.

Your Treatment

What Happens During a Chemical Peel at Faceit by Ian?

A chemical peel session with Ian is thorough, personalised and takes between 30 and 60 minutes. Here is what to expect at every stage.

Skin Consultation

Ian assesses your skin concerns, type and tolerance. He selects the right peel BioRePeel, Amiko or Ekseption — and strength for your skin, explaining exactly what to expect during and after the treatment.

Cleanse & Prep

Your skin is thoroughly cleansed and degreased to remove any barrier to penetration. This step is essential for even, controlled acid application and consistent results across the treatment area.

Peel Application

The professional peel solution is applied carefully and evenly by Ian. You may feel a light tingling or warming sensation as the acids work. Ian monitors your skin's response throughout. The solution is left for a precisely timed duration.

Soothe & Protect

The peel is neutralised and removed. A soothing, hydrating mask and protective SPF are applied. Ian provides detailed personalised aftercare instructions including which Ekseption or Exoblanc products to use at home to maintain and extend your results.

Chemical Peels : Frequently Asked Questions

Superficial peels like BioRePeel and the Ekseption range can be repeated every 2–4 weeks. Ian typically recommends an initial course of 4–6 sessions to address a skin concern, followed by monthly maintenance treatments to sustain results. He provides a personalised treatment plan at your first appointment.

The BioRePeel and Amiko Peel are specifically designed to minimise visible peeling and downtime. Most clients experience mild redness for a few hours and possible minor flaking over 2–3 days. The Ekseption peel range is formulated for little to no downtime. Ian will advise you on the exact recovery profile of your chosen peel.

Yes, pigmentation and uneven skin tone are among the strongest indications for professional chemical peels. AHAs, BHAs and TCA acids regulate melanocyte activity and accelerate the turnover of pigmented surface cells. The Ekseption pigmentation solutions range and BioRePeel both deliver measurable results for post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, sun damage and melasma over a course of treatments.

Yes — when the right peel is selected by an experienced practitioner. BioRePeel is approved for all Fitzpatrick skin types including types 5 and 6. Ekseption PHAs show a very limited risk of post-treatment hyperpigmentation compared to conventional TCA peels. Ian always conducts a thorough skin assessment before selecting a peel formulation to ensure safety for your specific skin tone.
